  1. 1. Are the sources listed in this Annotated Bibliography reliable? Why or why not?
The sources listed are reliable because they are all credible sources from major newspapers, independent newspapers and ebsco which are all known as reliable sources of information.

    2. Do the sources listed seem relevant to the stated research topic? If so, how?
The sources listed are relevant to the research topic because all the sources are about the negative health effects of the chemical aspartame which is found in most of our food products.

    3. What additional sources might you suggest this student find? (Not specific articles/books per se, but what kind of information might the student still need to write this essay?)
I think the student has enough sources to discuss his/her topic. The only other thing I think should be added is a source discussing about what exactly aspartame is, what it’s made of and where it is found.

    4. Are the sources listed in correct MLA style for a Works Cited page? (You can go to http://library.laguardia.edu/research/mla for reference.)
Yes the sources are listed in correct MLA style.

    5. Do you think this topic will make a compelling research essay? Why or why not?
I think this topic will make a compelling research essay because aspartame is widely used in fast food industries and causes a lot of negative effects on the consumer’s body. Also this topic will be able to inform people about why aspartame is dangerous, what it is composed of and other names that it goes by so that consumers do not recognize it.
